What is the difference between changing my locks and rekeying?
Changing your locks means replacing the entire lock set including the handle or knob. Rekeying your locks is a more cost efficient method because it means only replacing the tumbler inside. A new key will be used but your current lock stays.
How does a mobile locksmith work?
With our technicians being in Jasper, IN and in Owensboro, KY without storefronts, customers call us and we dispatch our technicians to where they need to be. Our technicians are able to go directly to the customer to complete locksmith services. If a customer needs a key made or programmed, we will schedule a time to meet you and the technician will cut a key directly from his service van.
When do I need to rekey my house?
We recommend getting your house rekeyed as soon as you move into a new house and if you have missing keys. We recommend scheduling an appointment with us as soon as you get possession of your new home. You do not know where the keys have been, if there are still some out there and who has made copies.
Are you able to install a new deadbolt on my door?
Yes. We can drill and install deadbolts on doors. If you do not have a deadbolt on your door, we do recommend one because it makes it difficult for burglars to break in.
Can you open and change the combination to a safe?
Yes. We can open up some safes by figuring out the combination, but if we can’t then we can drill them open. We can also change the combination to a safe.
Are you available 24 hours a day?
There is a technician always available for emergency situations. They are on call for the evening and early morning. We are open Monday through Friday 8 am-5 pm and Saturdays from 8 am-4:30 pm, anything before or after those times is considered after hours.
